What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to keep sites working correctly, to remember your preferences, and to give site operators a basic understanding of how visitors use their pages.
Cookies do not give anyone access to your device or to other files on it. The Longspan website uses a small number of cookies, described below. You can manage which optional cookies are active using the controls on this page.
Cookies we use
Essential Cookies
Always active — cannot be disabled
These cookies are needed for the site to function. They manage your cookie consent preference so that you are not asked repeatedly, and they maintain basic session security. Without them, parts of the site may not work correctly.
Duration: session or up to 12 months depending on function.
Analytics Cookies
Optional
These cookies help us understand how visitors find and use the site — which pages are visited most, where visitors come from, and how long they spend on each section. The information is aggregated and does not identify individuals. We use this to improve the content and structure of our pages.
Provider: Google Analytics. Duration: up to 26 months.
Marketing Cookies
Optional
These cookies are used to show relevant information about our services if you visit other websites after leaving ours. They may be set by advertising networks and used to build a profile of your browsing interests. We do not use these for personalised advertising to third-party audiences.
Duration: up to 90 days.
Preference Cookies
Optional
These cookies remember settings you have chosen — for example, your preferred language for workshop materials or whether you have previously dismissed certain notices. They make your return visits slightly more convenient by not asking the same questions twice.
Duration: up to 12 months.
Your cookie preferences
Use the toggles above to enable or disable optional cookie categories, then save your choice below. Your preference is stored locally in your browser and takes effect immediately.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies on this site are set by third-party services rather than by Longspan directly. These include:
- Google Analytics — website usage measurement (analytics cookies)
- Google Ads — conversion tracking if you arrive via a paid advertisement (marketing cookies)
- Facebook Pixel — visit measurement for paid social campaigns (marketing cookies)
- Microsoft Bing — campaign measurement (marketing cookies)
These providers have their own privacy and cookie policies. If you disable marketing cookies using the controls above, these third-party scripts will not be loaded.
Cookie duration
Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. They are used for temporary functions like maintaining your place in a form.
Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. Most optional cookies on this site expire within 90 days to 26 months, depending on the category. Your cookie consent preference itself is stored for up to 12 months, after which you may be asked again.

Your rights
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to withdraw consent to the use of non-essential cookies at any time. You can do this using the controls on this page or through your browser settings.
Disabling optional cookies will not prevent you from using the Longspan website, though some features may work less smoothly. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without affecting basic site functionality.
